Instructions:
Let’s make the outline of the rainbow first. On the sheet of plain paper, help your child to trace the lines of the rainbow in its respective colours (violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, red) with the help of crayons or sketch pens.
Next, let’s make the coloured dots for the rainbow. This can be done one of 3 ways:
If you have coloured papers in the rainbow colours, then simply use a circle-shaped punch to get circles of the coloured papers. If you don’t have a punch, then fold the paper, trace a circle, and cut it out through the paper layers to get multiple circles at once.
If you don’t have coloured paper, you can use a shape punch or scissors to make circles from plain paper and then paint them in rainbow colours.
To make it easier without using paper or scissors, simply use cotton balls to dip into the paints of the rainbow colours and stamp them over the lines drawn on the paper.
While pasting the coloured circles/stamping the cotton balls on the rainbow lines on the paper, you should help your child in matching the colours. For example, show him that the red circles/red cotton ball must go along the red line on the paper, and so on.
For the last step, help your child paste some cotton pieces at the ends of the rainbow to make fluffy clouds.
