Craft Ideas: Make A Paper Plate Submarine!

 This activity is a great way to introduce your little one to submarines while working on his fine motor skills.

Materials

  1. Paper plate
  2. Coloured tissue paper
  3. Sketch pen
  4. White and coloured paper
  5. Yellow paint
  6. Scissors
  7. Glue

Here’s what you need to do

  1. Start by folding the paper plate in half, and draw the outline of the submarine as shown in the picture below.

  1. Cut out the outline, and let your little one paint it in yellow.
  2. While you’re waiting for the paint to dry, have your child tear the tissue paper into small pieces.
  3. Glue the torn tissue around the rim of the plate, on the inside.
  4. Next, it’s time to make the decorations! Draw three round and one square submarine windows on the white paper and let your little one colour them.
  5. While he’s doing that, you can draw some fish on coloured paper and cut them out.
  6. Stick the windows on the submarine, and the fish on the tissue paper to complete this craft!
