Materials
- 2 Cardboard kitchen towel rolls/ toilet rolls
- Black marker
- White paper
- Orange, purple, yellow, green, and red coloured paper
- Glue
- Yarn
- Scissors
- Googly eyes
Here’s what you need to do
- Cut the cardboard tubes into two pieces, one slightly bigger than the other. If you’re using toilet paper rolls, this won’t be necessary. Try to make the four tubes of varying heights.
- Give the tubes to your little one and show him how to wrap the coloured paper around the tube. Stick the paper using glue.
- Next, glue down the googly eyes and let your child draw the eyebrows with the black marker.
- On the white paper, ask your child to draw some mouths for the cartoon characters.
- Cut these out and paste them on the tubes.
- To make the hair of the cartoon characters, you can cut the yarn in different lengths. You can also cut long paper strips to make the hair.
- Lastly, stick the hair on the inside of the tube above the eyes, and your cartoon characters are ready! Time to give them some cute names!
