Balloon Volleyball

This is an easy game that will get your little one away from a screen and on his feet. Tie some yarn on two chairs kept at a distance from one another, to make the net. Blow a balloon and let the game begin. Throw the balloon back and forth to work on those volleyball skills.
Freeze Dance
A great way to burn all that energy is by having an impromptu dance party. To make it more interesting, have a few rounds of freeze dance where everyone has to freeze the moment the DJ stops the music. Start dancing when the music is back on.
Simon Says
This one is a popular game that gives you all the power to make your child do what you want. Start every request with “Simon says” and make him jump, run around, and get him to do as much physical activity as you can. Involve other members of the family to make the game more interesting for your little one.
Frog Race

Join your child in this exciting race and get done with your workout for the day. Clear a space in your house for the race and remove all the breakables before starting the race. Show your child how to do the frog pose and set a finishing point. Whoever jumps to the finishing point first wins the race!
Marble Toe Race
This activity will have you and your child laughing throughout. Put some marbles in a bowl and keep an empty bowl next to it. Now, ask your little one to pick one marble at a time with his toes and move it to the empty bowl. You can also add a twist by adding water to the bowl along with the marbles. Don’t forget to spread some towels before the water spills everywhere.
Paper Planes

This one lets your child work on his throwing skills, and all it needs are some paper planes. Make a few paper planes and start trying to make them fly by throwing them up in the air. To make it more challenging, ask your child to throw the plane through a hula-hoop or any other circular hollow object, and see if he gets it through on the first try.
Sock Skating
Get your socks on and let the sock skating tournament begin! Clear out an area in your house, put those socks on your little one and yourself, and try to slide on the floor. Try spinning around or making sudden stops, or make up some fun moves as you go. The one who manages to slide the farthest is the winner.
Sponge Designs

Want to get your child to practise target throws? Soak some sponges in a tub and cover a wall with some tarp or a big plastic bag. Let your child have fun by throwing the wet sponges targeting the plastic bag. To make it more interesting, you can make some squares as targets, and make the game more challenging for your little one.
Clean-Up Race
This is a classic parent trick – an innovative way to get your little one to clean up his toys and to get something off your cleaning to-do list. Set up a race by playing a song and see who cleans up their mess before the song ends. Sneaky, no?
Treasure Hunt

This game is perfect for keeping young kids busy for a while. Fill a big container with sand to make an indoor sandbox and hide their toys inside it. The smaller the toy, the harder it will be to find. A great way to spend time indoors and work on object manipulation and give your little one some sensory play. Of course, there’s mess anticipated so don’t forget to cover your surface with newspapers, so that clean up is easier.
Catch
Sometimes all you want is a simple game that requires minimum effort, and no game can beat this game on that front. Roll up a sock into a ball, or use one of your child’s soft toys and throw it back and forth to work on those catching and throwing skills.
Balance Beam

An easy way to get your little one to work on that balance since he can’t ride a bike indoors. All you need to do is make a line on the floor using some coloured tape and have your child try to walk on forward, backward, and sideways (like walking on a tightrope) to improve his balance.
Helicopter
Another exciting game that you can play with your little one, this one requires a skipping rope and space with no furniture or fragile décor items. Hold one end of the rope in your hand and move it in a circular motion. Your child has to stand inside the circle and jump every time the rope approaches him.
Limbo

Limbo is a popular party game that guarantees a good time! Keep a long stick, a broom, or tie a rope across two points. Every person has to go under it with their back bent backwards and their head looking up. Whoever touches the floor or the stick while going under it loses the game. The stick gets lowered after each round for more of a challenge.
Blanket and Ball Toss
Have your kids play this game, or sit down on your knees to get to your child’s height before you start the game. Both the players hold one side of the blanket and toss a ball in the air, trying to keep it on the blanket and not let it drop on the floor. This one is sure to bring out some giggles as you struggle to keep the ball from falling.
Planning and indulging in these activities is a great way to bond with your little one and spend quality time together as a family. This summer break take some time off from your screens because there are enough and more ways to have fun all through these months!
