Activities For Kids: Easy Art & Craft Marble Painting Paper Cups!

Age range: 2-3 years

Primary skills: Fine motor, hand-eye coordination, and creativity

Materials

1. Paper cups
2. Bright coloured nail polishes
3. Baking pan or container
4. Wooden skewer or chopstick
5. Nail polish remover (for cleaning up)
6. Old newspapers

Here’s what you need to do

1. To set up for the activity, spread some old newspapers on the work surface, keeping some space for the cups to dry.
2. Next, fill the baking pan with water enough to dip the paper cups.
3. Now it’s time to add the nail polish. You can add two or three colours and use the wooden skewer to make some swirls and designs.

4. Once you’re happy with the design, have your little one hold the paper cup by its rim and dip it in the water.
5. Take the paper cup out and put it upside down on the newspaper to let it dry.
6. When the paint dries, you can clean up any smudges using the nail polish remover.
7. Your beautiful marbled paper cups are ready!
