Materials:
- White chart paper/plain paper
- A potato, cut in half
- Red and black paints
- Two containers for the paints
- Black marker/sketch pen
Instructions:
- Start off by cutting a potato in half. Let it dry.
- Then, take out some red paint in a container.
- Lay out the sheet of white paper. Help your child to dip one side of the cut potato in the red paint, and stamp it onto the paper several times, leaving some space between the stamps. Let the paint dry.

- Then, using a black marker/sketch pen, or using black paint and a paint brush, draw a line vertically through the middle of each red stamp (see image below for reference).
- Next, take out some black paint in another container.
- Help your child dip his thumb lightly in the black paint, and press it horizontally at the top of each red stamp, to make the ladybug’s head (see image below for reference).
- Then, also help him dip a finger in the black paint, and make black spots all over the red stamps.
- Lastly, with the black marker or paint, draw some antlers on top of the ladybug’s head.

The ladybugs are ready! To make them look more animated, stick on a pair of googly eyes on the head!
