Materials

  1. White paper
  2. Black sketch pen
  3. Cork or cotton ball
  4. Rainbow coloured paints

Here’s what you need to do

  1. Spread some old newspapers before you start this activity to avoid any paint spills.
  2. On a sheet of paper, draw the outline of a cloud and a rainbow coming out of the cloud.
  3. Next, squirt the seven colours of the rainbow on a plate or a paint palette.
  4. Give your little one a cork or a cotton ball and show her how to dip it in the paint and press it down on the paper.

  • Let her repeat this step on her own with different colours. If she’s using a cork you can wash it when switching from one colour to the next, or use different cotton balls for every colour.
  • Once she’s done, let the paint dry and your rainbow painting is ready!

Beware! Once your little one sees how fun this activity is, she will want to stamp just about everything she sees!
