1. Ferret  

A carnivorous animal with long, slender bodies and short legs. Ferrets have been used for hunting rodents like rats and mice for centuries.

2. Frog  

An amphibian that can live on both land and fresh water. Frogs generally have a slippery body, varied colours, longer rear legs, and can swim and jump.

3. Flounder  

Found at the bottom of the oceans, Flounder captures its prey by ambush.

A small carnivorous animal with a snout and medium-sized earlobes and is related to a dog. Fox can be found in the forests on all continents in the world.

6. Fire Salamander  

Fire Salamanders have bright colours that are indicative of the poison in their skin. This animal can have a very long lifespan.  

Fun fact about Fire Salamanders: As the animal grows, they shed their old skin and eat it.  

7. Flying Fox  

Flying Fox is closely related to bats. This animal is mainly found in tropical and subtropical areas, such as in bushes and mangrove forests. Like the bats, Flying Foxes use their legs to hang within an upside-down position.  

Fun fact about Flying Fox: The wings of these animals are actually skin stretched between fingers.  

8. Flying Fish  

These fishes have pectoral that are modified to serve as wings. Flying Fishes enable them to leap out of the water and glide.  

Fun fact about Flying Fishes: This water animal can glide for more than 650 feet.   

9. Flying Squirrel  

Also known as sugar gliders, Flying Squirrels look just like the other squirrels but with wings. Flying Squirrels have very thick fur and big eyes.  

Fun fact about Flying Squirrel: 90% of all Flying Squirrel exist only in Asia.  

10. Fire Ant  

Compared to the other ants, the size of a Fire Ant is a bit bigger, with a length of up to 33 mm. These ants are reddish-brown in colour and live in colonies of around 100,000 ants per colony.  

Fun fact about Fire Ants: Fire Ants can lift 20 times their own body weight.
