So, we have come up with a list of 12 snacks that are super easy and safe to make. Soon enough, your little one will start making these delicious snacks for her, so let’s get started!

Peanut Butter, Jam, & Banana Sandwich

Starting off the list with this classic sandwich, a PB & J with the goodness of bananas is just what your child needs when she’s looking for a snack. Take two slices of bread and let your little one put peanut butter on one slice and jam on the other. Let her add some sliced banana to the sandwich and voila! The delicious sandwich is ready!

Yoghurt Honey Fruit Cups

A nutritious mid-meal snack, your little one will especially like this one if she loves fruits. Replace the old fruit salad, with this yummy fruit cup with yoghurt and honey. Cut some fruits like apples, pears, grapes, bananas, etc. and add them in a bowl. In another bowl, mix your child’s favourite flavoured yoghurt, or you could use regular yoghurt, honey and some orange zest. Let your little one spoon the yoghurt mix on the fruits and watch her enjoy this fantastic snack.

Date And Coconut Balls

This snack is for those times when you’re too tired to make dessert. The best part is your little one can help you make these because they’re so simple! Add 2 cups of pitted dates and 2 cups of desiccated coconut to a blender and blend well. Take the mixture out and roll the dates and coconut mixture into balls. Once they’re ready, roll the balls in some desiccated coconut making sure they covered with coconutty goodness. This scrumptious snack is yummy, sweet and healthy! Think of them as little energy-boosting balls!

Cucumber Sandwich

The perfect snack on a hot day, this sandwich requires very little preparation and your little one can assemble it as she likes. Slice one or two cucumbers and season them with salt and pepper. Give your child two bread slices, cream cheese or cheese slices, her favourite condiment, and the cucumber slices and let her add what she likes to her sandwich. Making this simple snack will be a wonderful activity for her, and she gets rewarded with a sandwich in the end!

Frozen Chunky Monkey Treats

Another snack that requires little preparation and doubles as a fun activity for your little one. Cut some bananas in half, stick toothpicks on the cut side, line them on a tray, and pop them in the freezer for an hour. While the bananas are freezing, get your assembly line ready with some melted chocolate, shredded coconut, sprinkles, and roasted nuts. Take out the bananas, and have your child dip the banana in chocolate before she starts adding her favourite toppings. A yummy snack that will keep her hands busy and tummy full.

Yoghurt Strawberry Bark

A fun snack that will give you some social media-worthy pictures because it’s so beautiful to look at! Line a baking tray with parchment paper, pour some yoghurt in it and show your little one how to spread the yoghurt to get an even layer. Make sure the layer is a centimetre thick to make the bark break easily. Next, let her add some chopped frozen strawberries on top of the yoghurt and sprinkle some nuts. Let the mix freeze for a few hours. Once it has frozen, remove the frozen yoghurt from the baking tray and break it in small pieces. This is the perfect snack/dessert for a hot day.

Peanut Butter Treats

A kid’s love for peanut butter doesn’t stop at a delicious PB&J sandwich because there are so many ways to enjoy it! To make these peanut butter treats, take 1/3 cup of chunky peanut butter, ¼ cup honey, and ½ tsp. vanilla extract and mix them well. Next, add 1/3 cup milk powder, 1/3 cup oats, and 2 tbsp. of cracker crumbs. Combine all the ingredients and show your child how to roll the batter in your hands to make the balls. Refrigerate them for some time and then give it your little one as a delicious snack.

Salad In A Jar

Another easy snack that is high on nutrition and fun to make for your child. Chop up your kiddo’s favourite veggies like lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. and put them in an assembly line. Let her assemble her salad in a jar and add a salad dressing in the end to complete the salad. If your child likes nuts, you could also add some nuts in the jar to make the salad tastier!

Honey Popcorn Balls

Make your family movie nights a lot more exciting with these yummy honey popcorn balls. To make this snack, take a bag of salted popcorn or make salted popcorn that measures up to 6 cups and add it to a bowl. In a pan, heat 4 tbsp. of honey, stirring occasionally and take it off the heat when it’s done simmering for a minute. Pour the honey to the bowl of popcorn and toss it well to mix the two. Pop the bowl in the freezer for 5-10 minutes to cool the honey down and then take it out and show your little one how to roll the mix into small balls. Let the balls cool for some time, and your favourite new movie snack is ready!

Banana Smoothie

Although this is technically not a snack, everyone loves smoothies, and they’re so easy to make, a child can make them! Hence, this one’s on our list. Let your child throw two bananas, ½ cup of yoghurt, 2 cups of milk, 1 tsp. honey, a pinch of cinnamon, and some ice cubes in a blender and blend it till the smoothie is ready. Sip on the yummy goodness of this smoothie on a hot summer day.

Honey Sesame Roasted Chickpeas

The perfect snack to munch on, you wouldn’t want this one to get over because your kids will be hooked to it! Take a can of chickpeas and wash them with cold water. Let your little one pat dry the chickpeas and peel the outer skin. Once that’s done, let your child add 1 tbsp. each of olive oil, honey, and sesame seeds along with ¼ tsp. of salt. Mix the ingredients well and spread them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. In an oven preheated at 400 degrees, roast the chickpeas for about 30-35 minutes and take them out when they are golden brown. Sprinkle some more sesame seeds and once the chickpeas have cooled down, let your little one munch on them as much as she likes!

Stuffed Cherry Tomatoes

The last one is the easiest snack to make on this list. Cut some cherry tomatoes in half and show your little one how to scoop out the seeds using a spoon. Once she’s done, fill the tomatoes with cream cheese or any soft cheese and let your child top it off with some roasted and salted chopped nuts or flax seeds. This yummy snack is so easy to prepare, you may find your munchkin making it for herself once she’s a bit older!
